1st Great Great-Grandfather
From (Renzong) Jiaqing year (1796) to (Muzong) Tongzhi year (1872), he was a famous doctor in the Jiangnan area, two medical books had been left behind him including a rare edition of "Chinese Medicine Traditional Medicine Shortcut" (Hongkong Taiping Publishing House) and "Traditional Medicine and Therapy" (Manuscript copy).
2nd Great-Grandfather
The great-grandfather was the grade archiater in three Qing danasties including the Xianfend (Wenzong), Tongzhi(Muzong) and Guangxu(Dezong) times. At the end of 21 Qing Guangxu year (1895), he gave medical treatment to Dr. Sun Yatsen, Shilian Zhang and Shaobai Chen with donated treatment drugs.
3rd Grandfather
Being the archiater in Qing Guangxu (Dezong) time, he cured the liver disease for national father Dr. Sun Yatsen in January 1925, and gave medical help to Mr. Youren Yu in 1926. In the same year he cured the Shanghai Counsel, Mr. Daishi Qin (Liankui). In the 19th year of the Republic of China, he gave Asthma Treatment to Shanghai Big Name, Mr. Yuesheng Du. Later in the 22nd year of the Republic of China he served famous artists, Mr. Qiling Tong and Guichun Li to cure their illness and in the 28th year of the Republic of China he helped Mrs. Qingling Song to cure her disease. He passed away at the autumn of 1943 in Shanghai. More than 300 people came and mourned for him with countless sacred presents. The wife of Dr. Sun Yatsen sent her autographical elegiac couplet.
4th Father
He was Vice Director of Chinese Medical College, Vice Dean of Chinese Health Traditional Medicine Academy, President of Shanghai Jindao Hospital which in 1956 was changed to Union Clinic. He read up herbal medicines and was good at medical faculty. The properties of 1,095 herbal drugs, 340 animal drugs and 357 mineral medicines were at his fingertips.
He was an expert in medications, skilled in medical principles and endeavored to clinical experiences. He wrote out his prescription based on the patient's diseases and developed a manner of his own surpassing all others. The family of Xu has made tremendous contributions to continue and develop Chinese medical heritage. The typical classical medical books compiled by the family Xu were listed as follows:

5th Xingsheng Xu
He was born in 1958 in Shanghai. He graduated from Shanghai Traditional Medical College in 1983 and he obtained his Master's Degree in 1987 in the majority of Traditional Chinese Medicines. He got his Traditional Medicine Ph. D in 1989. The same year, he went to Japan for further career development and set up DoXin HanFang Medical College. He wrote out several books such as "Prevention of Cancer", "Collective Efficacy from Famous Doctors of Chinese Medicine" and "Traditional Health Care Drinks and TCM OTC for Men and Women". At present, he is a doctor living in Los Angeles. He has expertise in different rare illnesses especially towards those difficult diseases hard to cure with Western Medicinal Therapy.
